Dr. Kelly Curtis serves as Associate Director of Research at TOWARD Health, where she helps develop and implement research initiatives focused on metabolic health, chronic disease, and innovative models of care. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, magna cum laude, from Colgate University and received her medical degree from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in 2023.
Before joining TOWARD Health, Dr. Curtis conducted research at the University of Florida’s Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases in collaboration with Florida’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. She has also worked on clinical trials evaluating investigational therapies designed to lower lipoprotein(a), an important inherited risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Her research interests span metabolic, cardiovascular, and neurological health, with a particular emphasis on translating scientific evidence into meaningful improvements in patient care.
Dr. Curtis is passionate about addressing the shortcomings of conventional healthcare, including its limited emphasis on prevention and nutrition, disparities in access to care, slow adoption of evidence-based practices, and reliance on brief, medication-focused visits. At TOWARD Health, she is committed to advancing rigorous, patient-centered research that supports more preventive, accessible, and effective approaches to chronic disease.
Outside of work, Dr. Curtis enjoys singing, creating art, participating in church fellowship, and spending time with her family. She is also deeply devoted to her beloved cat, Ben.
